Government Compliance
Our payroll software and HR management tools are registered with the Australian Tax Office’s (ATO) Registered Software Facility as fully compliant with all Australian tax requirements, including a full termination calculator and legislative tax reporting. Our solution also complies with New Zealand Inland Revenue Department (IRD) policy regulations. Updates are made as required to reflect current tax legislation. Correct payroll services are critical in any organisation and our human resources software ensures legal compliance. PayGlobal is a member of a consultative group which provides a strategic link between the Australian Tax Office, other government agencies and the software industry. The group is invitation only and the people in the group represent developers who design software relating to taxation obligations. We take our responsibility and the privilege of sitting on this group very seriously as we recognise the importance of having a group that provides a basis for the software industry and the ATO to align their activities as they respond to governmental, societal and technological changes.
PayGlobal is a member of the Software Developers Working Group (SDWG) and Software Developers Liaison Unit (SDLU), both groups managed by the Inland Revenue Department in New Zealand. The SDLU provides a consultative forum to aid the facilitation of software development that supports the IRD’s strategic direction, supports the software developers’ strategic direction, reduces compliance costs for employers and makes it easier for employers to comply.
PayGlobal is a member of the Australian Human Resource Industry (AHRI) and The Association for Payroll Specialists (TAPS), the only association in Australia representing the payroll industry. In addition, PayGlobal has employees who are members of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand and is a foundation member of and has worked with the New Zealand Payroll Practitioners Association (NZPPA) to develop the New Zealand Holidays Act specifications in 2010, when the Act was significantly amended. The NZPPA maintain the specifications of the Act on behalf of the Department of Labour and the NZPPA ask PayGlobal business analysts to assist and contribute to its maintenance as well as helping on other payroll- related issues.
